My name is Rob. I love God, Country and my family; I’m a Christian, a Dad and a Blogger, and a lover of the great Pacific Northwest and the outdoors. I have lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, in beautiful (mostly) Northern California. I have spent many fine days fishing on alpine lakes, shooting, and camping, and snow skiing throughout the Northwest, and I've learned that knowing even the basics about wilderness environments, the right clothing, gear, gadgets and safety will make the difference when spending time outdoors, and when and if things do not go as well as planned.
